Administrative Director of Programs & Operations ($87,500-95,000)
We are looking for a new Administrative Director of Programs and Operations (ADPO) to join our warm, friendly community at St John’s! The ADPO plays a key role at our program, managing functions that support program and operational growth and stability within the organization. The ADPO oversees medical and mental health operations, daily operation of agency programs, as well as staff and agency training. Additionally, the ADPO serves as a senior leadership employee who supports the program leadership team when applicable. The ADPO supports several agency initiatives and serves as an onsite point person for operations. They are the identified point person for operations and program compliance. The ADPO reports to the agency Executive Director and works closely with ACS, OCFS and other agency overseers.
35 hours per week, Monday- Friday, with overtime as needed.
Education Requirement: Minimum LMSW to include a minimum of 7 years progressive experience in non-profit or child welfare. Prior supervisory experience is a plus.

Youth Development Counselor- all programs ($15.91-17.74/hour)
The Youth Development Counselor (YDC) is one of the most critical roles within St. John’s agency, serving as a surrogate parent/caregiver to the resident youth who reside in one of the agency’s residential programs. The YDC is the “frontline” for the agency and residents served. The YDC ensures the daily basic needs of the youth are met while providing guidance to assist in the youth’s successful residence with the agency and/or their transition back to home or independence, depending on the individual goals/needs. The YDC also works in collaboration with social service staff and external service providers to ensure compliance with recommendations/ court orders, as well as ACS/OCFS standards and guidelines.
Please specify program of interest (NSD, NSP or RTC) and employment status sought (full-time or per-diem).
Per-diem/40-hour work week
Education Requirement: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required w/some prior experience working with youth, preferably in congregate setting. *Valid NYS drivers’ license required
Recreation Coordinator- NSD ($39,520-41,600)
The Recreation Coordinator is a YDC role who is primarily responsible for the program’s engagement of youth. Reports to the NSD Program Director, assists in planning, coordinating and scheduling of activities/trips for educational, emotional and social growth, as well as for fun. Orients youth admissions to NSD program, following guidelines and protocol established by St. John’s and ACS. Ensures the safety, well-being, and permanency for program youth during placement. Demonstrates and models appropriate behavior for youth.
Tues-Sat, 40-hour work week; 4p-12a (Tues-Fri), 10a-6p (Sat)
Minimum HS diploma with 2 years of relevant experience around recreation and community resources; prior work with vulnerable youth and knowledge of child welfare preferred.

Case Planner-RTC Social Services ($50,000-53,000)
Do you have a desire to assist and advocate for some of NYC most vulnerable youth? Are you passionate about family preservation? Do you love being part of the team delivering an evidence-based model?
St. John’s Residence for Boys is an established child welfare agency in the Queens area, serving young men from age 13-21 years. The Case Planner is a crucial part to the RTC Social Service Department. Provides direct case management oversight, while focused on discharge/permanency efforts for youth & family. Field and office work, requiring reliable transportation. Occasional evening/ weekend hours may be necessary to ensure services and timelines remain actively engaged.
Mon-Fri, 35-hour work week, some evening/on-call as needed.
Minimum BSW or BA degree in human services or related field with at least one year of child welfare experience. Prior case management experience preferred.

MST-FIT (Multisystemic Therapy/Family Integrated Transition) Coach-RTC Social Services ($47,500-51,000)
If you are passionate about working with/for vulnerable youth and families, join St. John’s Residence for Boys, as an MST-FIT Coach.
The MST-FIT Coach primarily performs case management/administrative duties around the resident youth’s progress towards transition from the agency, utilizing the MST-FIT model of service. This role works both within the agency and community to ensure appropriate resources and services are assigned for the youth’s success. Compliance to ACS/OCFS mandates and oversight as related to the MST-FIT model of service.
Mon-Fri, 35-hour work week, some evening/on-call as needed.
Minimum BSW or BA degree, in relevant field, required w/2-years of professional experience, to include some knowledge of child welfare working with at risk youth; MSW referred w/ a minimum of 1-year of related experience. Former case management experience is a plus.
Fair Futures Life Coach- RTC Social Services ($47,500-51,000)
If you have a passion for working with some of NYC most vulnerable, using evidence-based models of care, the Life Coach is for you. Join a team of dedicated social service professionals in serving and advocating on behalf of the residents of St. John’s.
The Life Coach is a vital part of Permanency Planning, collaborating with Case Planners around the necessary milestones and service needs of the resident as related to permanency/independent living. Provides ongoing social and emotional support while developing individualized academic/career development goals. The Life Coach serves as an advocate, supporter, counselor, and mentor for the youth.
Mon-Fri, 35-hour work week, some evening/on-call as needed.
Minimum BSW or BA degree in Social Services or related field with at least one year of professional experience; Prior case management experience is a plus.
